The Oceanis 40.1
Missy Bear is a Beneteau Oceanis 40.1, built in Challans, France in the spring of 2021. She was commissioned and launched in Canet-en-Roussillon, France in July 2021.
She is 11.99m LOA, but 12.89m with the bowsprit. She draws 2.2m and her beam is 4.2m. She has a roller furling 105% genoa (34 sq. m) and an in-mast furling mail (34 sq. m). As she is twin wheel and twin rudder, she has no prop-wash effect, so she has a retractable bow-thruster.
She is a one-off layout: a two-cabin, twin-head, with a workroom/store in the port quarter.
She has a Yanmar 45hp engine,195l fuel capacity, 500l of fresh water, 4 no. 105ah house batteries, and 315W capacity via 3 no. flexible panels on the sprayhood/Bimini.
