Chartering option not attractive
Poros aerial image We called Richard Kouvaras in Greece yesterday. He is a busy man, but admitted that the figures for Greek Sails to buy back/charter our yacht didn't look too appetising for us or for them. We are not surprised, as we would only let them have the yacht for eight or nine weeks, which is much, much less than other standard finance/charter deals. To be honest, I'm not too upset about this, as I don't want a lot of dinks put in the boat from the charter crews. W

Greek Sails
We spoke on the Richard Kouvaris on the phone yesterday. He was very helpful indeed. He had gone through the spec in detail and suggested some changes. In terms of the deal: GS would buy the boat through an agent to get a c.10% discount; Richard thought he could also get about 15% discount on the electronics etc. This all may be VAT free, if the boat is long enough! 1.
